Gratitude For Medical Education

 We now have 5 medical schools and 7 or more graduate degree medical centers here! I also want to send out a hearty congratulations to some of the recent “graduates” of Cactus Pediatric Orthopaedics who have advanced in their medical studies.

Dr. Sarah Bolander, PA-C, DMS recently completed her Doctorate degree at University of Lynchburg. Sarah has been a Physician Assistant with us for many years and is a faculty member and administrator at Midwestern University here. Sarah had the thrill of presenting another long-time former employee, Jessica Vega, at the White Coat ceremony this Fall at Midwestern, where Jessica is a student in the Physician Assistant program. Alix Keller, our former MA is currently studying at Northern Arizona University to complete her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies while Lauren Stafford, MA in our current staff, has been admitted to Physician Assistant program at AT Still University.

Well done ladies! I am so proud of your accomplishments. Lastly, I am thankful for the fabulous Orthopaedic mentors I had at Rush University and the Shriners’ Hospitals for Children in Chicago and Portland. And, we all continue to learn and grow through collaboration with all the great medical peers we have here.
